Upgrading and moving from Edit Flow
Editloft is not in the WordPress.org plugin directory, so WordPress will not tell you when a new version is out. Watch the releases page or the changelog, and update by uploading the new zip over the old one.
Back up your site and try Editloft on a staging copy first, as you would with any plugin. If you are moving from Edit Flow, deactivate Edit Flow before you activate Editloft, because the two overlap. There is no migration tool, and Editloft has no custom statuses or editorial comments to import. Read the comparison first so you know what changes.
If you are on version 0.6194.1016 or 0.6199.0938, update: those builds contain a bug that broke saving from the block editor, fixed in 0.6218.1049.
License
Editloft is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2 or later. Use it on as many sites as you like, read it, and fork it. The plugin header keeps the original Edit Flow copyright from Mohammad Jangda, Daniel Bachhuber and Automattic, with portions copyright 2024 to 2026 Christopher Ross.
Free, open source, GPLv2
